After many years of working in nursing homes, assisted living and home care; I wasn't prepared for the emotions that would surface the day I observed my own parent wearing a "clothing protector." It looked much like a baby bib and not at all what my mother would ever wear. With her tremors from Parkinson's however, she needs the functionial tools such as weighted eating utensils, a walker and a cover up. Soon, she will not be wearing a "Bib" but one of the designer cover ups from My Dignitywear. My Dignitywear products will be just the gift we have been looking for...a great Mother's Day gift...dignity in dining! I wanted to design products that my mother would like, and that I would be happy to wear should I someday need a cover up.
